Take another Practice Test

Question 1 of 20

What do you call the Queen's representative in the Provinces

  Hint: See "Discover Canada" Reference
Queen's representation on Federal and Provincial levels are discussed on Page 29 under "Constitutional monarchy" (Left Column, Last Paragraph). Please Note it is different for Provinces and Territories. I have written in my blog to give you better picture of the monarch structure as there has been some confusion around it.

 Citizenship Test Tips

What was the last update to Discover Canada and Citizenship Test Regulations ..... On September 30, 2010, regulatory amendments came which resulted in an update to "Discover Canada" and the way the "Canadian Citizeship Test" is conducted.

With these new regulations,
- The mandatory question requirement is removed, which means you don't automatically fail by giving wrong answer for certain type of question (that was the case previously);
- You are only required to give 15 correct answers out of 20;

For the contents of the tests, applicants are now supposed to have an adequate knowledge about
- National symbols of Canada
- Canadian Cultural and Social History;
- Canadian Goverment Hierarchy and Monarchy;
- Rights, Responsibilities and Privileges of Citizenship;
